About ERKNet

ERKNet is the European Reference Network for Rare Kidney Diseases. It is formed by expert centres throughout Europe that provide healthcare to more than 70,000 patients with rare diseases of the kidneys. ERKNet provides expertise on more than 300 individual kidney diseases.

There are 30 million people with rare diseases in the EU, including 2 million with rare kidney disease. ERKNet takes care for 70,000 patients in 78 centers in 24 EU Member States.

ERKNet‘s main activities are: Supporting clinical research and development of new therapies, training and promoting the exchange of physicians.
